A pre-launch technology start-up has recently completed a prototype of an AI-powered, data-driven opportunity network designed to match and connect businesses with critical growth partners. They are in the process of raising £5M in equity finance to launch their pilot in four key markets across intersecting industries, aiming to onboard 50K businesses.

About the Job:

Over the past three years, backed by seed and sweat equity, the start-up has established significant technological and operational foundations to support the launch, effectively mitigating associated risks. They are now seeking a talented and entrepreneurial CTO and co-founder to join their management team and collaborate with accomplished founders who have invested funds and leveraged personal resources to build a business with unicorn aspirations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will have global responsibility for establishing and leading the technical vision, including the development and deployment of a cutting-edge SaaS platform powered by next-generation prescriptive AI.
  • Play a critical role in shaping and guiding the future growth and development of the organisation.
  • Recruit and lead an experienced and innovative technical team.
  • Develop a multi-year technology roadmap from concept to market, aligning with specific deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to link market opportunities to specific technological efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CTO within a successful international company.
  • Expertise in building integrated data solutions for enterprise clients and developing polished mobile front ends and responsive applications.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience hiring and leading teams of exceptional technologists, fostering an environment that attracts and retains top talent.
  • A customer-first philosophy, underscored by a significant dose of empathy.
  • Proficiency in full-stack enterprise development with a focus on building native, scalable cloud applications.

Additional Must-Haves:

  • High familiarity with deep learning and machine learning technologies.
  • Direct start-up experience, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Experience in enterprise applications and search implementations.
